How to get corporates to give you attention?

The average office worker gets 121 emails a day - every single day. This means to cut through the noise, corporate fundraisers have to be resilient, persistent and persuasive. In this session, Andy will dig into how you capture a corporate's attention and make sure they remember you. We'll cover individual stories, organisational stories and how to use identity to make someone excited. Don't miss out!

This session will be led by Andy King

Andy King

Andy King is an award-winning storyteller. In July 2022, Fundraising Magazine named him ‘the most influential fundraiser in the UK’. Andy’s passion is helping charities tell their most important stories to those with the power to change the ending. This has led him to kickstart corporate partnerships programmes from a standing start to a value of £450,000 per year in 18 months. He has also transformed existing approaches to go beyond ‘logo-led’ fundraising with St. John’s Ambulance and UNESCO. Having worked with charities of all shapes and sizes, he is keen to create the tools that will work for you.

Paula Senior

Paula has worked in Fundraising for the last 7 years within the homeless sector, and previously as a volunteer for Home Start. She is passionate about changing lives for the better and believes everyone deserves a safe place to call home and access to vital support services.

Paula & YMCA Burton were proud to be the chosen Charity for Tilley’s first outdoor art trail, and enjoyed working with her and the businesses who sponsored the Burton Swans. It was a particularly challenging year of launch as COVID hit and subsequent lockdowns added risk to the success of the trail. Tilley continues to be a great supporter of YMCA Burton and they have recommended Tilley to a number of other Charities following the success of the trail.

About this series

Are you looking for new ways to work with businesses? These webinars will help you discover fresh approaches to developing your corporate fundraising, both on and offline. Guests will share some tried & tested ways of working, they will also share their successes and challenges. All of this knowledge will give you new ideas and concepts to try for yourself that will improve your offering to corporate prospects, or current partners.

Each month Julia will provide unique insight into what is happening in the business and the charity sector, she will update you on the current trends for business leaders, their challenges, new initiatives, and how the current economic situation is affecting their support of charities. She will demonstrate how your corporate fundraising can support businesses with their current challenges, helping you to access those opportunities.

Amber Consulting has access to over 3,000 fundraisers, this allows Julia to provide exclusive insight regarding issues in the third sector as they start to arise, giving you a finger on the pulse of not only corporate fundraising but other income streams too.

This series of workshops will increase your confidence in  fundraising with corporates. You will hear first-hand from fundraisers who have tried out new ways of working, they will share their triumphs and their failures, so you can take away the learnings and try them out at your own charity. There will also be business owners sharing the benefits they've gained from partnerships and some product suppliers who have great offerings that can assist your corporate fundraising.

These webinars will help you get ahead of many other organisations, and enable you to  start offering something special to your corporates in the next few weeks
