About this event

The Experienced Fundraiser Group is for you if you are;

  • Someone that has been working in fundraising or development for three years or more;

  • You would like to continue developing your skills

  • You see the importance of building supportive networks.

This small group meets to share experiences, in confidence, and learn from other senior leaders and fundraising professionals.

The day allows you to reflect on successes, seek support for those challenges that keep you awake at night, network with other experienced fundraisers and participate in, in-depth discussions about some of the biggest dilemmas that face fundraisers and leaders in the third sector.

This month we will discuss

Leading your team through tough times, with the wonderful Gary Buxton

The day is split into two parts, with the reflection and group coaching in the morning and the expert learning and development session in the afternoon.

Lunch is kindly sponsored by Charity People and is usually at Wagamama's!

Gary Buxton BA (Hons) PCC, MBE - Executive Coach

Leading a team or an organisation is both a privilege and a challenge. Creating change is both exciting and difficult. In a world of paradox, creating the time to think and reflect for you or your team is crucial to making good decisions and being successful.

Gary has 20 years experience of both operations and senior leadership roles across the voluntary, public and commercial sector organisations.

As a psychology graduate, qualified executive coach and able to deliver psychometrics in both ability and personality, he can offer a comprehensive coaching experience for people looking to deliver their best in life and work.

In recognition of his pro-bono and charity work, Gary was awarded an MBE by HM Queen Elizabeth II in 2014 for Services to the Young People of England.

Gary is a Non-Exec Director & Governor of the University of Manchester and supports the strategy and governance of the largest Russell Group University, turning over £1bn with 12k staff and over 40k students.
