How to find new charity of the year partners’

Every year Darnell Consulting conducts an in-depth piece of research into the charity of the year market in the UK. This gives us unrivalled insight into the opportunities

available to charities and the things that help charities to win these partnerships.

This webinar will cover:

  • Why charity of the year programmes are still relevant to a large segment of the charity sector (and not just something for big brands)
  • How to sense check your readiness for targeting charity of the year programmes
  • Best way to segment the opportunities, build a pipeline and target prospects
  • Headline trends and developments
  • Trouble shooting some common obstacles
  • Live Q&A session

This session will be led by Grahame Darnell

Grahame Darnell

Grahame has over 24 years’ experience of working at a senior level in the charity sector in addition to the first five years of his career which were spent working in marketing in the commercial sector.

He has managed every aspect of the fundraising mix through successful roles at Head and Director level. Since becoming a consultant, Grahame is widely recognised as a corporate fundraising expert and is involved with several cutting-edge initiatives relating to fundraising and purpose-led business in the UK and beyond.

Grahame sits on the Chartered Institute of Fundraising’s Finance and Resources Committee, and he is a trustee for St Raphael’s Hospice where he chairs the Income Generation and Communications Committee.

Paula Senior

Paula has worked in Fundraising for the last 7 years within the homeless sector, and previously as a volunteer for Home Start. She is passionate about changing lives for the better and believes everyone deserves a safe place to call home and access to vital support services.

Paula & YMCA Burton were proud to be the chosen Charity for Tilley’s first outdoor art trail, and enjoyed working with her and the businesses who sponsored the Burton Swans. It was a particularly challenging year of launch as COVID hit and subsequent lockdowns added risk to the success of the trail. Tilley continues to be a great supporter of YMCA Burton and they have recommended Tilley to a number of other Charities following the success of the trail.
